"You know it's been said that we just don't recognize the significant moments of our lives while they are happening. We grow complacent with ideas, or things or people and we take them for granted and it's usually not until that thing is about to be taken away from you that you've realized how wrong you've been that you realized how much you need it, how much you love it." 50 years. Something worth Celebrating!
This January 9th, my grandparents will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Over the Thanksgiving weekend, family and friends of my grandparents helped them to celebrate this special occasion at an open house. The amount of people that showed up was fabulous making it easy to see that my grandparents are very loved! Here are a few photos captured on their special day. One of the photos is a portrait of my parents who have been married 28 years. I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by people who love and care for each other in marriage!
Church architecture
For my final photography assignment, I pulled my inspiration from the photographer Goran Anastasovski. Goran captures architecture beautifully through his clarity, composition, attention to detail, and specified background. I tried to take some of these elements are capture them in my own work. The churches I photographed were found in Lincoln and around my hometown area, West Point. It was a great fall day to take photo, and I enjoyed the road-trip to each destination with my mom.

Asun Photos
As part of their upcoming elections for ASUN, these three fabulous men asked me to take pictures for their campaign. Layne, Jeff, and Matt were a riot to work with! We enjoyed many laughs...they will definitely get my vote!
Groeteke Family Pictures
It was a long day at school, and I sure could tell! The smiles were hard to find after a rough week of school, but I still grabbed a few! It was a fun fall night of taking pictures in the Lincoln Haymarket followed by dinner at Lazlo's...Thanks Julie and Jeremy!
