"You know it's been said that we just don't recognize the significant moments of our lives while they are happening. We grow complacent with ideas, or things or people and we take them for granted and it's usually not until that thing is about to be taken away from you that you've realized how wrong you've been that you realized how much you need it, how much you love it." A new member of the family, Josie!

Recently, our household has gone into a little turmoil. Our sweatshirts have a few holes in them, we lose a little bit of sleeping from the yelping noises that come from our kitchen, and we have dog toys laying around on our floor. Yes, we are adjusting to a few changes but it is all worth it for our new puppy Josie! She is an English Springer Spaniel full of energy and absolutely precious.

Minute to Win it hits Jayfest!

Just one year ago, the community of West Point decided to start up a new fundraiser for our two Catholic schools. They decided to call this fundraiser Jayfest. For the past two years, the amount of money that has been raised from this event has been beyond beneficial! This year the committee decided to spice up the event by having the crowd participate in some minute to win it games! Here are a few photos caught during the night and during the action packed games.

Red carpet worthy!...Some awesome ladies having fun.
Nancy, LuAnn, and my mom,  Jean... best friends celebrating together.
Minute to win it games. My dad working really hard to pull out those tissues. Keep going!
 A balancing act.
 Real-life bobble heads.

 Shake it!

Becoming a part of the team...

After five years of lifeguarding at our local pool, it was time for me to literally throw in the towel and get a "grown-up" summer job. As of May, I began working for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network as the recruiting intern. So far, it has been absolutely wonderful. Being a part of the Northwestern team has allowed me to not only gain wonderful real world experience, but also the chance to work with a great group of individuals I would now like to call friends. Here are a few pictures captured at our summer get-together, steak and hot dog night! I hope you enjoy.

Joe and his beautiful wife, Rachel.
 Nate and Dan, best buds.
Our wonderful hosts, Dan and Lauren.
 Dan, Joe, & Nate!
 Lars and his gang!
 Amy and her husband, Willie!
The recruiting team and the new C.U.D.!
My new best friend at work, Charlotte.

Spring Break trip to Galveston!

For Spring Break, my mom and I traveled to Galveston, Texas to visit my brother. We enjoyed the warm weather, laying out on the beach, the unique architecture in the town, and wonderful food. It was a great four days away from the cold. The best part of the trip was being able to see Adam again!

Kappa loves you smore and smore!

Kappa wanted to celebrate Valentine's Day by bringing "smore" love to the Greek Houses on campus. We sent them cards with our pictures and well as some sweet treats! Here are a few photos of my lovable sisters!

Congrats Grad!

After a long blog absence, I'm back!

This past semester, life got the best of me and I managed to become overwhelmingly busy! School, a position in Kappa, and work took all of my time...but now I am going to get back into my photo blog world! I'm excited to be back!
